At Saul's coronation, Samuel laid emphasis on Israel's sin in rejecting God as their king and proved them wrong. It was God who delivered them from all their enemies. Saul was in Gilgal waiting for Samuel to make sacrifices. Saul and the Hebrews needed Samuel desperately to approach God for them. So Saul took things into his own hands; he did what Samuel should have done and when he had finished, Samuel turned up. Saul had made an unlawful sacrifice to God. When Samuel came he asked Saul, "What have you done?" Saul told Samuel and said why he did it. Then Saul saw people scattered from him and Samuel did not come to him at the appointed time. The Philistines had gathered together for war at Michmash. Saul said to himself that the Philistines would come to Gilgal to war against him but he hadn't made supplication to God. So Saul felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering. In response, Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever." A missed opportunity. How did that happen? Rather than focusing on the command of God, Saul focused on what he saw and thought and all his desires for his kingdom were lost. He went by sight and not by faith. Saul made his army fast in the day of battle and he almost killed his son who had walked with God and won the battle for Israel. Don't go by feeling, go by faith, in Jesus name. AMEN AMEN

Street Preaching

On a daily basis, brothers in the church evangelise in the city of Bristol. Most of the street preaching happens in the Broadmead shopping centre. However, the gospel is also preached in Bedminster, around the UK, and across the world by those who know the truth and are sent by God.
